제품소개

CD56(NCAM, Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule)은 immunoglobulin superfamily의 일원인 cell adhesion protein을 암호화합니다.
주로 neurons, glia, and skeletal muscle의 표면에서 발현되는 당단백질이며, 발달 및 분화 과정 동안 세포와 기질 간의 상호 작용뿐만 아니라 세포 간 상호 작용에도 관여하여 신경 발생, 세포 이동을 조절함으로써 신경계의 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 이 단백질은 면역 감시 체계의 주요 요소인 T 림프구, B 림프구 및 natural killer (NK) cells의 확장에도 관여합니다.
fibroblast growth factor receptors, N-cadherin, FYN-focal adhesion kinase (FAK), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) 와도 상호 작용하여 신호 전달에 역할을 합니다.
최근 연구에 따르면 세포표면분자인 CD56의 발현 증가는 급성골수성백혈병 환자의 생존율을 저하시키는 반면, COVID-19로 인한 증세 악화는 말초 혈액에서 CD56-expressing NK cells의 감소와 관련이 있습니다.

이렇듯 중요한 neuroendocrine marker인 CD56(NCAM)을 감지하는 항체는 Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Frozen)를 비롯한 여러 응용 분야에서 활용할 수 있습니다.
